Welcome to sunny San Diego where the palm trees sway with the wind and the seagulls own the sky. Margaret and Derek ultimately wanted their wedding to feel relaxed, intimate, fun, and joyful.. and let me tell ya, their wedding was just that. The Pearl Hotel was the perfect intimate setting- rooms for guests to crash in all weekend, hints of retro-inspired decor, and of course, a huge pool to party in! From guests names painted on the inside of oysters, to the personalized hotel key chains doubled as a seating chart, every detail of this wedding day felt intentional and curated. And the best highlight was Margaret and Derek’s funky first dance to “Leave the Door Open” by Silk Sonic :) Leaning into the untraditional, Marge and Derek also opted to cut a pie instead of cake. To end the night, the entire wedding party joined the couple in a celebratory jump into the pool!

I could not have captured what I did without the help of the other amazing vendors involved in this day. Renata from Orla Floral designed the most gorgeous flower installs in hues of orange, pink and yellow, with pops of citrus and persimmons. Christina from Love Loud Events effortlessly coordinated the day with grace and beauty! The Pearl Hotel is a fantastic option for any sort of intimate wedding or gathering with a helpful and supportive staff. Second Song kept the party going long after I left. I may or may not have tried three different pies from Eat Poppie that night.. all wonderfully delicious! See below for the vendor links!
